For nearly a century, the Boy Scouts of America has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. One of the oldest Boy Scout of America troops in Marin County, Troop 59 has been providing boys age 11-17 with fun activities that build character and develop skills. Throughout the scouting year, Troop members learn to lead, take responsibility, and keep themselves physically and mentally fit.
Troop 59 is a boy-lead program, with trained adult leaders offering guidance when needed.
We meet the first and third Wednesday of each month from September to June. Meetings start at 7:30 pm and are held in the Masonic Hall, located in Greenbrae, CA. We usually offer at least one event each month. Our activities include overnight campouts, afternoon hikes, community service projects, rafting, spelunking, kayaking, ski trips, and a week-long stay at Boy Scout summer camp.
